The Role

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll own external communications that shape how the world understands our mission and leadership in AI. You’ll craft narratives that highlight the role of high-quality human feedback in building better AI, drive media engagement, and ensure Surge’s voice is clear, credible, and compelling across all channels.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute a social media strategy that amplifies Surge’s brand, mission, and key announcements across platforms
• Create, edit, and publish compelling content—posts, threads, and visuals—that make technical work approachable and shareable
• Monitor cultural and industry trends to identify real-time engagement opportunities and handle sensitive conversations with nuance
• Track performance metrics, analyze impact, and adapt strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and brand equity
• Build and nurture Surge’s online community by fostering dialogue, responding to inquiries, and deepening audience relationships

What We’re Looking for

• Proven experience managing social media for tech, AI, or fast-growing brands, with a track record of growing reach and engagement
• Strong writer and content creator, skilled at distilling complex ideas into engaging formats that resonate across audiences
• Deep understanding of digital culture, platforms, and real-time trends, with the ability to respond quickly and thoughtfully
• Data-driven and creative, equally comfortable analyzing metrics and experimenting with bold content ideas
• Collaborative and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, founder-led environments
